Unusual Opportunities

Like our motto “Singing Great Music in Great Places”, the Concordia Youth Chorale specializes in providing unusual performance opportunities for our singers. In NYC the Chorale has performed five times at Carnegie Hall, including two performances of John Rutter’s Mass of the Children with the composer conducting, twice at St. Paul’s Chapel next to Ground Zero, twice at Lincoln Center and five times at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

In recent news  the Chorale sang at the opening night of the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall on November 10, 2017 and is returning this year. Members of the Chorale will also be singing at Carnegie Hall in May 2019 under the direction of John Rutter.

International Touring : the Chorale toured England in 2003, Northern Italy in 2005, Bavaria, Austria and Prague in 2007, Montreal and Quebec City in 2009, Northern France in 2011, England again in 2013, Ireland in 2015, Canada again in 2017 and a choral residency at Exeter Cathedral in England in 2018. Future plans include collaborating with a women’s choir in Shanghai, China.

USA Touring: the Chorale has performed in Colonial Williamsburg twice, Washington National Cathedral and the Gettysburg battlefield.
